Dr Nicholas Krall

Scientific Advisor

Nicholas A. Krall (1992 – Present at EMC2)

Dr. Nicholas A. Krall has been a key figure in Polywell fusion research, offering critical theoretical insights since the late 1980s. In his current role as a scientific advisor, he leads the development of EMC2’s R&D projects.

He received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Cornell University. Dr.Krall began his career in plasma physics as a graduate student at the urging of Prof. Hans Bethe. He has a distinguished career in plasma physics, including authoring one of the best textbooks in plasma physics, “Principles of Plasma Physics,” in 1986 with Dr. Trivelpiece.
